6 Great Chiropractic Marketing Ideas That Works

Starting a сhіrорrасtіс рrасtісе frоm scratch іѕ nоt nесеѕѕаrіlу thе еаѕіеѕt thіng tо dо. Sеvеrаl tіmеѕ thrоughоut the уеаr сhіrорrасtоrѕ fасе the сhаllеngе оf kееріng раtіеnt flоw соnѕіѕtеnt. It’ѕ a fасt, раtіеnt арроіntmеntѕ аlwауѕ ѕееm to dесlіnе a lіttlе mоrе durіng thе ѕummеr ѕеаѕоn.

Small Business Marketing Consultants Must Do This

Customers are the lifeblood of all businesses. Without people visiting your business and ultimately buying something, you have no business. Another term for visitors is traffic. How much traffic walks into your storefront, or how much traffic arrives at your website, will directly impact how much you will sell. And to attract as much traffic as possible, you need to promote or advertise your business, services, and products. Whether you are an offline business with a website, or you run your complete business model online, here are Five Practical Tips to help you promote your business online.

One point that should be noted, however, is that when we at Ignited Biz. LLC, say “practical,” we mean both free and paid methods. Obviously, you need to decide what model best suits your budget and act accordingly. Further, any promotion is hard work. You need to devote the time, energy and sometimes expense to get the word out there. But, at least these five tips are easy enough to do without taking a college degree to begin.

Tip #1 – Small Business Marketing Must Use Brand Recognition

To be effective when local marketing for your business online, you need to be consistent not only in the frequency of communication but also, in the message you impart. In other words, you need to brand yourself, your business, or your products. To do that, you need to use the same name throughout the internet. So, regardless of which site you use or what methods of advertising, there needs to be a constant name so that potential customers and existing customers know the ads are from the same company or person. As time passes, customers need to be able to recognize your brand, and that only comes from getting the same name out there. If you are wishy-washy on what your brand is, then you dilute your online efforts.

Tip #2 – Use Social Media to Announce Sales, Special Events, and Product Recalls

Sites like Twitter and FriendFeed are great for announcing special events and sales. You don’t have to be particularly fancy or long in words when letting people know about your store. You can mention a few brief things and get people back to your website for details. The goal is to create some excitement and get people interested in finding out what is happening. But, the key to social media is staying active and being consistent. You need to post snippets on a regular basis so that followers will continue to follow. And, if you expect them to pass the word around, you need to be around for them to stay interested.

Another excellent use of social media like Facebook is for product recalls, or even product knowledge. Let existing customers see information that the average public does not see. It keeps them informed post-purchase and makes them feel welcome. But, also remember that you it can have the opposite effect if you don’t monitor the site. If you ignore questions or comments and show no interest, you can lose customers just as quickly as gain them.

Tip #3 – Press Releases

Press releases are important on the internet, just like there were offline in print media, radio, and television. Many sites accept press releases, and you really should write a strong feature on what you do, the benefits of buying through you, any factors that differentiate you from the competition, your hours of service, and anything else that is both informative and interesting. The neat thing about the internet is you do not have to rely on newspapers and services to get your press release published promptly.

For example, you can publish PRs through sites that focus solely on press releases but send yours also, to relevant sites that might post it for you as a courtesy to their customers. There are many ways to tie in your products with other companies without being a threat to their businesses. Further, you can publish the press release on any number of free blogging sites with links back to your main website. In fact, press releases are an excellent way to promote your business online.

Tip #4 – Guest Blogging or Article Writing

Admittedly, this form of promotion can be a lot of work, especially when you are trying to keep your head above water and get your new business going. But guest blogging or article writing is no different than attending business meetings to network. One of the first things experts say is to join the local Chamber of Commerce so that you can meet others in your community. Well, online, you want to meet others and get your name out there, but you do it uniquely. Find sites that would benefit from your expertise and knowledge, then contact the owner or manager of the site. Send a pleasant note introducing yourself and outlining what you would like to do for them. Let them know that you would expect a link back to your official site and that your name would remain on the article. Many site owners are pleased to get outside contributions.

But one word of caution here. This is not an advertisement. Do not take advantage of the willingness of others to sell your service and products. Show yourself as doing something helpful for their users. Choose a topic that serves a purpose to their audiences, which in turn will bring you targeted traffic. You want to be known as someone who is willing to contribute with bona fide ideas and support, not someone whose sole goal is to spam and take something for nothing.

Tip #5 – Advertise on Relevant Sites

Paid advertising has always been a huge component of any business budget and financial forecast. And, depending on your type of enterprise, it may be a substantial factor in your financial statements. But, unlike newspapers, where you took a specific sized ad and hoped for the best, the internet allows you to be more discriminating in your choices. You can hone in on specific niches that fit your market and go after those websites that offer sponsorships or other types of paid ad spots. Just be sure that you complete significant due diligence before sending a considerable sum of money. Understand the site’s market, understand how the traffic numbers work and if they are legitimate, and finally, set in place a system for monitoring the traffic to your website.

Finally, regardless of what methods you choose to promote your business online, there are a few pointers that you should follow:

a) have a game plan on paper, so you know where to start and what you want to achieve,
b) know your brand and promote it consistently through all channels,
c) be persistent in your promotional efforts, and
d) only spend money when necessary and understand your budget constraints, as there are many opportunities on the internet that can distract you and ultimately, destroy you financially.

Getting started in the hardest part. Like Nike says “Just Do It!”

There’s a lot more great information on the web; so check out these great sites to get started…

Social Media Marketing Tips

You probably have heard of Twitter by now. But what is it? And more importantly, how can you use it for strategic marketing purposes? Here’s a thumbnail sketch of what Twitter is and how you can leverage it for marketing your business. These social media marketing tips can be applied to all of the social platforms.

Twitter is microblogging. You have limited characters per message, called “tweets”, to make your point. You must be succinct, concise and engaging!

Twitter, like blogging, is a way to connect with other people. Although you may be Twittering for business purposes, remember that your voice should have a personal tone. People will tire quickly if all you post is Marketing jargon.

  • Follow back folks who support you. It’s how you build a huge following or Twitter posse!
  • Aim to be a thought leader in your field. Search for users who are tweeting in your world and watch what they do.
  • Add links to your tweets to drive followers to interesting articles or new posts on your blog or website.
  • Use a Twitter management application to organize your followers and tweets. I like BrightKit.
  • Twitter takes time to nurture. As a lead generation system, it will take time as you build your reputation and follower list.

Social Media Marketing Tips

  1. Be remarkable – somebody worth making a remark about
  2. Become a resource to others
  3. Have your unique personality
  4. Be vocal and opinionated within the community
  5. Don’t continuously push the envelope by flooding them with requests
  6. Invest time into social media
  7. Produce and share content that your audience will love
  8. Monitor what’s being shared about you
  9. Become a real member of the community
  10. Ask questions
  11. Answer questions
  12. Provide value to the community
  13. Be controversial
  14. Don’t be another me-too
  15. Automate carefully – it’s about people, not robots
  16. Don’t be sarcastic as some might not catch the sarcasm
  17. Make it easy for people to share and bookmark your content
  18. Listen to the community
  19. Make at least one new connection every day
  20. Engage yourself in conversations
  21. Become the conversation
  22. You’re there to make relationships, not hard selling
  23. Take time to focus on building a loyal following
  24. Give, Give, GIVE!
  25. Treat social media like a cocktail party
  26. Be supportive
  27. Be careful Syndicating all your content across all social media platforms. Reason being someone following you on all the accounts doesn’t want to see your message ten times.
  28. Encourage others to share your content on their sites and posts
  29. Fully research the community to understand your market
  30. Be fun
  31. Watch out for the unwritten laws of the community
  32. Create an attractive, unique and professional profile
  33. Use a cool avatar/picture
  34. Use the same avatar for each social media service
  35. Don’t be a keyboard fool (i.e. trash talk all day)
  36. Know what your followers/friends want and give it to them
  37. Form reciprocal arrangements with others
  38. Monitor your noise level
  39. Never cheat the system
  40. Help others unconditionally
  41. Be yourself

Using Landing Pages to Build Email Lists

The most common technique of today is combining two or more methods for building an email list; the first being using landing pages or squeeze pages. Get the potential customers to the landing page and entice them to opt in for something.

Consumers drastically view permission differently than marketers. When asked whether or not they remember asking for email correspondence from a company they know and trust, only 10% of consumers replied that they had. More than half of respondents believe they never requested the majority of commercial emails they receive.

Why the email amnesia?

This is the backlash that comes when the email marketing industry drowns consumers in sweepstakes, registrations, and in-store promotions. For some consumers, they’ve become increasingly distrustful when handing over their email addresses. One interesting piece of information to note is that the younger and wealthier a consumer the more likely they are to feel they have signed up for the information they receive in emails. Also, having a professional landing page design will help in creating a lasting, positive impression.

Shady marketers are to blame for this amnesia. They deluge the customer’s email with worthless emails.

Striking a balance in email marketing is a must. You don’t want to appear spammy to prospects, but you also want to make opting in an uncomplicated process. As you travel further and further into email marketing territory, it is important to understand the pros and cons of different techniques.

Why should a local business use email in their marketing?

On a typical day, the number of non-spam emails that consumers receive to their personal accounts averages between 52.2 and 65.4. The numbers slightly differ when looking at men, women, and individuals (18 to 26 years old). With more people latching onto the social networking scene, some have predicted a decrease in email usefulness. To date, no such decline has been seen.

Email is still a very effective marketing method and will be in the near seeable future. Ignited Biz uses email and other methods to follow up in our marketing. Local businesses need to embrace it in an attempt to retain customers

Small Business Marketing – Business Development

Learning how you apply business marketing strategies for your business development holds the key to your success or failure in your local business.

Business marketing will be the strategies you will apply that will affect every aspect of how you run your business. To be successful realize that business marketing is more sophisticated than just simply advertising your business on the internet.

Do you have the time to become a marketing expert?

Learning to be an expert in business marketing by learning to do the right things is what makes customers love you. If you learn how to market well you will prosper, if you don’t, you’ll end up like many people before you by just quitting and not really understanding why it did not work out for you.

Just make sure in your effort to learn how to market your local business you don’t end up slacking in your true profession. It is easy to get caught up in new marketing fads and software products. Small business marketing is time-consuming and it takes time to develop.

If you are committed and really apply yourself to learning business marketing, not just advertising, you will succeed beyond your expectations. There is no such thing as instant wealth promises or hype about no work, and the money will just roll in.

Exceeding Customer’s Expectations

If you are not motivated enough to exceed your customer’s expectations then marketing online is not for you, but if you are interested in growing your business to levels you never expected possible then do your due diligence and find a good internet business with an impeccable reputation that can teach you all these applications.

There are a lot of companies out there that don’t actually put much effort into the service they provide. For a true local business owner, their conscious would be after them if they didn’t perform better than expected.

Knowing your type of customers can help you target the right people and is the first step in building a winning business marketing strategy. You cannot sell to everyone, so target the right people and find out if they really qualify for your time. You must focus on who your most valuable customers are and learning how to serve these people better than your competition. To succeed find a good online business that teaches all the above and you will succeed beyond your expectations.

Is Small Business Marketing Right For You?

Just keep in mind do you have the time to market your business? When your business starts to take off will you have the time to keep up with the marketing? Can you run a business, market a business and still have time for your family?

The reason most of us want to own our own business is to have freedom from the corporate world. If you try to take on to much though owning your own business can be more time consuming than working in a cubicle. Most plumbers, chiropractors, dentists, roofers and general contractors don’t want to learn and devote the time to marketing or they would have gotten a marketing degree.

Chiropractic Marketing

Chiropractic Marketing Do’s and Don’ts

Nothing Can Stop A Trane? That’s what I read this morning printed in big letters on the side of a van, as I was leaving my son’s school.

What the heck does that mean? Plus why is this scary looking van hanging around my son’s school? Are they selling something? With the way today’s society is you notice vehicles like this one. Especially all white vans with tinted windows driving near an elementary school. Luckily I did also see a phone number printed on the passenger side door. Since no one was behind me trying to leave the parking lot, I grabbed my cell phone and took a pic of the phone number and license plate just in case.

Unique Ineffective Advertising

Then it dawned on me this must be a work truck installing Trane air conditioners.

When I got home, I was able to google the phone number from the side of the van. Sure enough, it was a local heating and cooling company.

How many people who see that van think of heating and cooling company?

The tagline on a rundown down tinted window van do you think people will remember them? Sure they will but in a positive way? A tagline is great but what about the rest of the appearance? If the van had had Heating and Cooling Specialist with their phone number written big wouldn’t this have been better? Then write the tagline in small letters would have been much better.

Do you think the company tagline worked well?

Unless someone’s looked into a new air conditioning unit lately, they most likely will have no clue. All that did was waste that HVAC’s hard- earned advertising dollars.

It’s a common mistake, local businesses, and professionals with their marketing including chiropractors. Being cute in chiropractic marketing instead is not the way to go. Be compelling and informative instead.

Rule #1 with chiropractic marketing: It’s better to be informative and benefit driven than it is just to be cute. Put your advertising dollars to good use discussing the benefits people will receive from visiting your Chiropractor treatment. Do you specialize in anything particular? Decompression? Sciatica Nerve relief? People don’t realize myself included just how much an out of place back can affect other areas of our body.

I think great taglines have their place.  Many of the Fortune 500 companies use taglines but people usually already know their product and what it can do. Chiropractic treatment can help with so much that I think the general population doesn’t realize it.

Therapists see the way the big companies use taglines, and usually, they follow in their footsteps.

What most chiropractors don’t see is that those big Fortune 500 companies have a different objective with their advertising. A typical chiropractor firms goal is to drive in more foot traffic not necessarily what they fortune 500 companies advertising is aiming for.

One thing to keep in mind when choosing how to go about your chiropractic therapy marketing. Research shows that even though people remember taglines, they don’t always associate them with the company who made it. On top of that even if we do remember the business research has shown that we don’t necessarily go to that company to purchase a service or buy any more services.

The point is even though people may remember your tagline that doesn’t mean they will buy from you. The issue with chiropractic marketing is the main reason to advertise is to get new patients.

Your chiropractic marketing should be driving the response you’re aiming for:

Generate more leads

More new chiropractic patients

More referrals

How to do that with a Chiropractic Business?

Instead of coming up with a jingle or cute tagline come up with one that shows people you can help them with their issue. Use a tagline that clearly states a unique benefit to prospective patients.

What makes you the Chiropractor Doctor to visit?

Do you cater to the working crowd during the day? Keeping appointments on time and moving along? This allowing them to stop in on their break for an adjustment?

Do you have late hours during the week or special weekend hours?

Give people a compelling reason in your tagline, to visit your chiropractic practice. Make a statement in what patients get with your health practice compared to the chiropractor down the street.

Keep in mind it’s always better to be clear and concise than it is to try and be cute. People aren’t always on the same thought pattern so they might not get your cute message. Usually, if someone is thinking about visiting a Chiropractic office, they are in pain or some other issue. They want to know you can handle it and resolve their issue.

Chiropractic marketing message simple and to the point.

Things to keep in mind when making your chiropractic marketing.

Keep in mind:

Enticing

Interesting

Beneficial

More unique

Returning, to our earlier example of a bad tagline.

“Nothing Stops A Trane”

Here’s a way they could make it so everyone understands what they do.

Top Of The Line Air Conditioning Unit Designed To Cool Your Home While Conserving Your Homes Energy!

The Only Home Air Conditioning Unit That Has Your Pocket Book in Mind.

How can you improve your chiropractic practices marketing? Keep in mind people have busy schedules and they are usually in pain.

Ignited Biz’s tagline is we help businesses get found. If people can’t find your business online then your not in business.

I hope this article helps you come up with some ideas if you’re doing your marketing yourself.

Location Location Location

I won’t repeat the cliche again by saying location three times in a row. The title was enough. Merely pointing out that there is such a cliche should hopefully be enough to make my first point: location is important. Yes, this seems obvious, but the fact is there are a lot of details that go into finding the perfect location that many companies might not be aware of.

Demographics

The first is the more obvious one of demographics. If the area you decide to set up your business in has no interest in your particular industry you’ll be hard pressed to generate business. You can have all the commercial printing done that you want, but if no one in the area wants your particular products, it won’t do you any good.

This also applies to how steep of competition you’re going to be dealing with. You might find yourself going into a market that loves the type of products you sell, but there are so many other companies doing the same you have trouble distinguishing yourself from the rest.

Along with the demographics make sure that the population level will be able to support you as well. Don’t open a massive mall in a community that simply doesn’t have enough people in it to support. You have to be sure that the area you’re going to be doing business in has enough people to keep you going.

Building Looks?

Next, come the actual buildings themselves. I know it isn’t particularly fair, but the way the area looks has an impact on my opinion of the business. If a place looks run down and all the buildings around it are closed up or decrepit I just don’t have as much trust in that business.

Sure, this amounts to judging a book by its cover, but I know I’m not alone in doing it. Sometimes the building you go for might be cheap because it’s in an area that doesn’t have as much business or is run down for various reasons. The first impression people will have of your store is what it looks like, and if you look messy, people probably won’t even bother walking into the store.

Lastly, and this is far more important than a lot of people give it credit for, make sure that the location feels right to you. What does that mean? While house shopping I’ve walked into a place and simply felt that it was right. This was a matter of intuition more than it was rational thought. The place felt like home.

If everything else seems to be checking out and you have an excellent feeling about the place, then maybe you need to go for it. Don’t let all the facts and numbers prevent you from having any emotional input into the selection. The fact is if you’re really enthusiastic about a particular area, you’re marketing and commercial printing is going to reflect this, which will lead to much better advertising.

Online Location

The location is an important decision, but if you know what you’re looking for, you won’t have anything to worry about. The physical location is always important but do keep in mind that your website URL is just as important. Building your location online is an ongoing process that will help bring in foot traffic to your physical location.

YouTube Marketing Strategy – Why Your Local Business Needs It

Why You Need a YouTube Marketing Strategy

As a local business owner, I am sure that you already understand the importance of ranking high in the search engines. You not only want to rank high as possible but you want to rank for multiple search terms in the search engines. Most likely you may have or are already paying for an SEO campaign. Hoping it would catapult you to the top of Google. Being at the top of the world’s largest search engine is major money. This is one of the reasons why you need a YouTube Marketing Strategy for your local business.

Being at the top of Google searches is the goal. But there are some people out there who realize that there are other search engines out there!

So why the big fuss over YouTube?

Because it’s the 2nd largest search engine in the world!

Now, unlike other search engines, you can’t possibly rank on YouTube without having a video. YouTube spiders will not come and crawl your site searching for videos.

You will need a YouTube account and upload them to YouTube yourself. Not having a YouTube account is like throwing money away. This is due to the fact that not having any videos will be throwing away a perfectly viable source of traffic for your business.

If you want to draw in website traffic through YouTube you will need to make or buy videos to post. Your goal is to make videos that people are going to be itching to watch. Your ultimate goal for a small business owner is to get the customer to buy from you. Using video’s to sell customers works for dentists, chiropractors, roofers, custom home builders, and plumbers. Any service based or goods selling business needs to build a YouTube Marketing Strategy and then implement it.

YouTube Marketing Strategy Equals Quality Traffic

By doing this you are going to get more quality targeted traffic landing on your site. These are exclusive leads and they will hopefully have money burning a hole in their pockets.

Of course, YouTube is not going to drive the majority of traffic to your website.

However, do not forget about the numerous other video-sharing websites out there. The time you spend uploading and optimizing your videos on those sites can pay huge dividends.

Paying special attention to websites that are relevant to your niche. This is where your real targeted customers are going to come from.

Looking beyond video-sharing sites for a second. Are you already operating a social media campaign? Hopefully, you are! Social marketing is a very crucial part of internet marketing today.

The key to a successful social media campaign is to get people talking about your business! There is no better way to engage your potential customers than using videos.

If you can create top quality video content that is worth sharing, people WILL share it. One big mistake business owners make is being too shy and asking your friends and family to share your content.

Think about it…

You spend a couple of minutes pasting your YouTube links to your social media accounts and many people will watch it and send it on to hundreds, or thousands, of other people. They may even click through to your site ready to spend money with you (depending on the content that you produce).

If they do not click through to your site you should not worry too much. Remember, a major part of internet marketing is branding. So even if they don’t do business with you immediately, you are now connected with them for potential future purchases. All marketing doesn’t have to make you number one in the search engines. The main goal of a YouTube marketing strategy is bringing in more customers. Video marketing does this by getting your name out there in front of potential new clients.
